Dodiflow 5416 also improves the dispersion stability of paraffinic hydrocarbons in diesel fuel stored below the cloud point. This is achieved by reducing the size of paraffin crystals and preventing their agglomeration, allowing diesel fuel to be stored for several days below the cloud point without noticeable paraffin sedimentation.

Properties of Dodiflow 5416

  • Can be used both on its own and as part of diesel fuel additive packages;
  • Additive performance has been verified on the HFRR lubricity tester and in pump operation with various world-class fuels;
  • Compatible with oils.

Applications

Dodiflow 5416 is an additive specially designed for winter diesel fuel production. Due to its broad activity spectrum it is effective in a variety of fuels, including middle distillates with a narrow fractional composition and the following distillation characteristics: T(90–20%) of 70 to 100°C; T(end point −90%) of 17 to 25°C; wide distillation fractions with T(90–20%) of 100 to 125°C and an end point below 375°C (ASTM D 86), as well as arctic-type distillates with an end point below 340°C. Good paraffin crystal dispersibility in diesel and light heating fuels enables their long-term storage below the cloud point without noticeable paraffin sedimentation.

Mixing temperature

Before use, the additive is heated to +35–40°C and stirred. For maximum efficiency, the additive is injected into fuel at +40°C.

Recommended dosage of Dodiflow 5416

To reach the required cold filter plugging point and/or pour point (CFPP/PP), a dosage of 50–500 g/t is usually sufficient, depending on the middle distillate characteristics. Under the recommended injection conditions, Dodiflow 5416 can also be used at higher dosages — up to 1000 g/t and above. The required dosage strongly depends on the characteristics of the diesel fuel being treated.
