Handling / Precautions
Handling temperature:
40°C / 105°F (~295 cSt) to 55°C / 130°F (~135 cSt)
Storage temperature:
40°C / 105°F to 55°C / 130°F
The product may be shipped from the Infineum plant at above-standard temperatures.
When heated, avoid high temperatures upon skin contact.
Stirring is recommended.
Direct injection is recommended for all cold-flow additives.
Before use, the additive is heated to +35–40°C and stirred. For maximum efficiency, the additive is injected into fuel at +40°C.
When diluted (e.g. with kerosene), the product requires continuous stirring; heating may not be necessary.
Suitable containers: carbon or stainless steel, polyester and Teflon.
Dosage of Infineum R442M
The treat rate typically ranges from 100 to 1000 mg/kg (0.01 to 0.1% by mass) depending on fuel characteristics and targets.
