Being a diesel fuel anti-gel, ANTIPARAFIN 7500 significantly reduces the cold filter plugging point (the limiting operating temperature of the fuel) and the pour point of diesel and light heating fuels; it also improves the dispersion stability of paraffinic hydrocarbons in diesel fuel stored below the cloud point. This is achieved by reducing the size of paraffin crystals and preventing their agglomeration.
Application
ANTIPARAFIN 7500 is injected into fuel at 5–7°C above the cloud point. The product makes it possible to produce winter-grade diesel from summer-grade fuel practically in the field: the additive can be dosed directly from drums as rail and road tankers are being filled. Mechanical blending of the final product further improves mixing. When the additive is injected into a road tanker before fuel loading, no additional treatment of the final product is required.
Dosage
The recommended dosage of ANTIPARAFIN 7500 is 0.2% vol. (2 litres per 1000 litres of fuel).
At these treat rates the additive reduces the cold filter plugging point by 13–15°C and the pour point by 15–20°C, depending on the hydrocarbon composition of the diesel fuel.
Solubility
Easily soluble in diesel fuel.
Packaging
Steel drums — 216.5 L.
